For some time now, our water lily pot has been the target of petty vandalism. Ever since we moved it outside for better sunlight, we’ve been fishing out candy wrappers, eggshells, and food scraps. Worse still, oil slicks and sticky residue have appeared, endangering the aquatic plants and fish.

As a gardening enthusiast, it’s frustrating. These actions upset the water’s delicate balance—just like stress disrupts our own mental and physical wellbeing.

Choosing Wellness Over Conflict

We eventually identified the culprit through home surveillance. But instead of confronting or escalating, we chose to let it go. Reacting could invite more trouble—and our peace of mind is worth more.

This experience reminded me how often life tests our patience. Whether it’s in fitness or personal growth, not every challenge needs a fight. Sometimes, the strongest move is not reacting.
